WtPB 54 - Lost Season 3 Episodes 19-21

Jon once again joins Derek and Dylan to talk about Lost season 3 episodes 19 The Brig, 20 The Man Behind the Curtain and 21 Greatest Hits.
We start with The Brig, a Locke centric episode with his flashbacks taking place on the Island over the course of the previous 8 days, while the present sees Locke convincing Sawyer to follow him into the jungle. Both revolve around Locke's father, Anthony Cooper, and Locke's attempts to infiltrate the Others.

Then we have one of my favorite episodes of the entire series, The Man Behind the Curtain, which is centered around Ben. We learn a lot about Ben in this episode, as the flashbacks show us several events which had a huge impact on shaping him into the character we see in the present, starting with his birth. In the present we have Locke basically forcing Ben to take him to the real leader of the Others, the mysterious Jacob at a decrepit cabin in the jungle. We'll have a whole lot more to say about the Cabin in future episodes.

To close out this recording we have one of the saddest episodes of the show, Greatest Hits, which is all about Charlie's five favorite memories. The flashbacks show us these memories, while on the Island Charlie prepares to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to fulfill his destiny and make sure that the woman he loves will be saved.
