Double D Talks - Episode 3

This week Sarah(@SarahScullbag), Derek(@Larzm) and I(@King_of_Bob) were all over the place, but I'm sure nobody expects anything else at this point. Everything from cartoons to Donald Trump and Stephen Harper.

We started off talking about Rick and Morty, an animated series Sarah and Dylan have recently gotten addicted to and decided to share that addiction with Derek. Based on this and our last Welcome to Planet Bob episode, I imagine Rick and Morty will come up often. If you haven't seen it already and you're into really bizarre animated series(it is an Adult Swim show after all), do yourself and favor and watch it ASAP.

We also discussed a house Sarah and I saw on our trip to Nova Scotia, which had plywood cutouts painted to be 50+ Simpsons characters on somebodies front lawn. If you find yourself in Whycocomagh in Cape Breton, be sure to stop in and take a look around. It's pretty awesome.

From there we went in a sadder rout(though we didn't let it bring us down), we talked about this weeks loss of horror legend Wes Craven and why Freddy is probably our favorite among the "big three" 80s kings of monsters: Freddy, Jason and Michael Myers.

As well as Joseph Gordon-Levitt's show, Hit Recored. Which Sarah and I just discovered after listening to the man himself talking about it on an episode of The Nerdist podcast. It's a brilliant and beautiful show that I think everyone should watch at least the first episode of. It's all about artist collaboration and literally anyone can get involved. If you're into any form of the arts, you owe it to yourself to see the show and see how artists can come together to make something even greater than the sum of its parts.

Then we went to less happy places and got a little political as we talked about Donald Trump as a possible president and how we feel Stephen Harper has done a lot of damage to Canada, in addition to not liking his further alienation of the Native Peoples of Canada and attempts to hinder our democratic process.

Sarah made us a pretty awesome logo for the Welcome to Planet Bob family of podcasts.

And lastly, Sarah and I will be at Fan Expo this weekend(September 5th and 6th, 2015). If you see us there by all means come up and say hi. Sarah doesn't think anyone will do it, so let's prove her wrong.

Finally, you've made it to the end. Your reward? You get to listen to us talk about all the stuff you just read about:
