So I'm sure many people have seen this post floating around out there. Creationists posing questions and making statements towards Bill Nye following his debate with Ken Ham. I addressed these points on my facebook wall, but I thought I would copy it here so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. I'll link to the article and just jump right into their "points." At the end I will link to another article which sarcastically rephrases their questions, it's pretty amusing actually.

1) I would say Bill Nye is affecting the minds of todays youth in an incredibly positive way.
2) Why should he be afraid of a being he doesn't believe exists? Are you afraid of hobgoblins and vampires?
3) It is illogical to assume the Earth was created "mature." There has never been an independently documented instance of a person being born an adult or just popping into existence.
4) The second law of thermodynamics does not even apply to evolution.
5) The sunset is an incredibly well understood process. It's only magical if you don't understand that the Earth rotates around the Sun.
6) The laws of thermodynamics does not contradict either the big bang theory nor evolution. This question is based on a misunderstanding of the laws of thermodynamics.
7) What about it?
8) What does that question even mean?
9) Science does not claim to know. But they don't claim the answer is unknowable either. And this is an odd question at it's base anyway, since the question is actually assuming evolution is true and that life originated from single celled organisms.
10) That's cool. Some of us require more evidence than that.
11) This question lumps a whole lot of different individuals into one massive clump. It assumes anyone who doesn't believe in God(I assume she means her Christian God) automatically believes aliens guided our evolution.
12) I'll get to that one further down.
13) It neither supports nor refutes it.
14) This question is based on ignorance of what the word theory means in science. It does not mean a simple guess. A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on knowledge that has been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experimentation. In this sense, evolution is thought of as a fact.
15) Two questions in a row where the asker clearly has no idea what theory means in science.
16) What does she mean "What mechanism?" Does she understand what mutation means?
17) So she thinks our entire reason for being is to be saved? That doesn't sound like much of a purpose to me. Why even bother? If we all just get into heaven as long as we believe in God, why doesn't he just tell us he exists and let us into heaven the moment he creates our soul? Why this whole big rigmarole we call life?
18) People clearly do not understand how rare fossils actually are. It's easier to find artifacts than bones. Since pre-humans weren't known for their building and culture, it makes sense that there wouldn't be much to find.
19) The big bang does not require faith. The question is moot.
20) Just because the world\universe is amazing doesn't mean a god must have created it. And it certainly doesn't mean the Christian God exists.
21) What exploding star? Does he think the big bang was a star exploding?
22) We didn't come from monkeys, first of all. We evolved from apes. And second of all, there are still apes for the same reason there are different species of ape. Not all species under the same genus evolve along the same path.
There you have it. Not one of their messages pokes even a single hole in evolution. Their problem is a severe lack of understanding of the science they're so opposed to. And without further ado, the link to the sarcastic rephrasing.
